David Doyle is a Barkindji/Malyangapa multidisciplinary artist whose work has been presented in solo, group and collaborative exhibitions across Australia and internationally.
His exhibition practice spans sculpture, carving, installation, bronze, timber, natural and found materials, painting and printmaking, with work grounded in culture, Country and the continuation of cultural knowledge.

Wampa-Waru (Quail) brought together members of David Doyle’s extended Quail family, celebrating shared connections to Country, kinship, heritage and cultural identity. Curated by David, the exhibition explored how cultural knowledge, family stories and connections are carried across generations through contemporary artistic practice.
23rd Biennale of Sydney: rīvus
Participating Artist — Sydney, NSW - 2022
As part of the 23rd Biennale of Sydney: rīvus, David worked alongside Barkindji artist Uncle Badger Bates and Anthony Hayward in the creation and presentation of Barkindji cultural works, including a traditional canoe. The project brought Barkindji cultural practice, knowledge and connections to the Baaka into a major international contemporary art event.
